DESCRIPTION

SEEKING Assistant Stage Managers/Production Assistants (ASM/PA) for the 13th annual SOUND BITES Festival of 10-Minute Musicals produced by Theatre Now New York (www.tnny.org). Thomas Morrissey, Producing Artistic Director; Erik Schark, Managing Director.

The ASMs/PAs will be the on deck running crew to oversee and coordinate all 10 pieces in the festival and manage the all-day run-thru rehearsal on May 2nd, dress rehearsal on May 4th, and tech rehearsal and the event itself on Monday May 4th. Not required to be at rehearsals prior to tech but will check in regularly and attend production meetings as needed. $250 stipend. AEA or non-union.


PRODUCTION: SOUND BITES 13 Festival of 10-Minute Musicals

PERFORMANCE DATE: Monday May 4th at 7pm

VENUE: Symphony Space, 95th And Broadway, NYC

DESCRIPTION: An evening of ten 10-minute musicals by ten different writing teams

CONTRACT: $250 stipend. AEA or non-union. This event is being presented as a benefit performance, and all proceeds go to Theatre Now New York’s programs that help develop new plays and musicals. All union members receive clearance through Theatre Authority.

REQUIRED DATES: The ASMs/PAs must be available all day on Saturday May 2nd for a run-thru of all the pieces, Sunday May 4th evening for rehearsal on stage and also must be available all day on Monday May 5th for tech rehearsal and the performance that evening at 7PM. Each piece rehearses on their own with their own team. If available, ideally but not required the ASMs/PAs would attend two production meetings on Sunday March 22, 6-8:30pm and Sunday April 12, 6-8:30pm and a walk-thru of the theatre on Monday April 20, 11:00pm-12pm.
