DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Stage Manager will have the below job responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Stage Manager, creative team, and designers to support and execute the artistic vision of the production.
- Assist the Stage Manager with all rehearsal preparation duties, including setting up the rehearsal space, taping out the ground plan, and completing other tasks as needed.
- Create, maintain, and distribute all required production paperwork, including deck run sheets, costume tracking, entrance/exit plots, and any additional documents requested by the Stage Manager.
- Attend all rehearsals, production meetings, technical rehearsals, and performances as required.
- Collaborate with set, prop, and costume designers to receive all show props and organize backstage prop shelves, tables, and storage areas.
- Ensure the stage floor is swept and mopped prior to every rehearsal and performance.
- Maintain cleanliness of the green room and dressing rooms, including regular trash removal, sweeping, vacuuming, and general upkeep.
- Maintain all props throughout rehearsals and performances, including managing consumables and completing washing or cleaning after each use.
- Run the deck during technical rehearsals and performances, including supervising the deck crew, tracking scenic and prop placement and movement, and maintaining accurate run sheets for the crew, Production Manager, and Stage Manager.
- Attend and assist with strike.
This position is for our production of Calendar Girls only. Dates are March 3 - April 14, 2026. You will have a private bedroom with a shared bathroom and shared use of company vehicles. We will cover the cost of your round trip travel to/from Nantucket.
