Hello, this is Josh Grisetti reporting from the infamous Cape Playhouse in Dennis, Mass. My day begins trying to steal wireless internet from the nearest neighbor... the only place I can get a signal is at my kitchen sink.
Josh Grisetti
I share a house with Dame Judy Blazer, one of the most talented and lovable women in show business. We often commute to and/or from the theatre together.

This is the Cape Playhouse, enhanced by a postcard of the front of the building (available at the gift shop).

Posters of shows-gone-by plaster the walls backstage. Stars of the stage and silver screen headline in nearly all of them. It really makes you feel like you're part of a great, great theatrical history.

My dressing room was the preferred dressing room of Madam Gertrude Lawrence, who allegedly haunts the theatre. She is rumored to prefer men in her dressing room, and is particularly fond of flowers. I have accommodated both.

The cast, crew and orchestra enjoy a BBQ between matinee and evening performances.

A pre-show game of softball with the crew outside the theatre.

My dressing roommate, Mr. Bradley Dean (the "murderer" in our musical thriller), satisfies his nightly iPhone craving before getting into costume and killing Judy Blazer over and over.
Josh Grisetti
Dame Judy Blazer prepares for one of her multiple "murder victims" at half-hour.
Josh Grisetti
Stacie Morgain Lewis goes blonde for the role of "Sarah Stone," the love interest, of course.
Josh Grisetti
Here I am darkening my little girl beard with mascara to make myself look older, wiser and less of a pansy (like real men do).
Josh Grisetti
Dame Judy Blazer, donning her first victim costume, consults with music director Michael Rice just before the curtain goes up.
Josh Grisetti
With only 2 weeks of rehearsal, I wrote one of my lines on the wall of the set so that if I forget it (which is somewhat frequently), I have easy access to recovering it. I'm not proud of it, but there it is.
Josh Grisetti
Who doesn't love a fake newspaper headline?
Josh Grisetti
I threaten Michael Rice with my fake 1970's NYPD gun. It's the best way I have found to get him to pick up my tempos.
Josh Grisetti
Stacie Morgain Lewis, myself and Dame Judy Blazer snap a quick shot backstage during intermission.
Josh Grisetti
Bradley Dean prepares to murder Stacie Morgan-Lewis, not knowing that I'm waiting in the wings to make a breathtaking last-minute rescue with my giant cop gun!!
Josh Grisetti
After the show, various members of the cast, crew and orchestra go to the bar across the street and order a festive, post-show round of "Cape Codders" (vodka and cranberry juice). And that's the perfect way to do a show on Cape Cod. Come see us through
