The Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots launched its national tour in style, with Western stops in Las Vegas, Tempe, San Diego and Portland. Blair Goldberg, who plays the role of Maggie and understudies Nicola, invites Playbill to follow her backstage and on the road with these exclusive photos from the launch cities. Everybody say yeah!

Our first flight! Vegas, here we come! Here I am with my flying buddy, Bonnie Milligan. Oh, hey there, Ricky Schroeder!

This is our wig-call time sheet. My name is not Blair Goldstone, but I suppose it's close enough.
To celebrate our first full day of tech, the lovely and talented Kyle Taylor Parker (Lola) threw us a champagne toast in our hospitality suite!
Crystal Demure (AKA J. Harrison Ghee) has arrived!
Now it's time for some of the ladies to hit the town, starting with a classic elevator pose. Can Vegas handle us? Likely.

Boots, boots, and nothin' but boots!
Our hardworking and fabulous crew- ranging from stage management to costumes, hair, electricians, stagehands, carpenters, etc. Some locals, some permanent members of our team. These people are amazing!
Performing "Everybody Say Yeah," in wandelprobe. That's the first time the performers hear the full band- we perform the musical numbers in mics and start to learn the sound balance of the show.

My husband and I visited The Heart Attack Grill in Vegas with friends and family. We lived to tell the tale.

A bunch of the cast went to Yellowtail at the Bellagio before seeing the Cirque show O for our last evening in town. Such an incredible night! Bye-bye, Vegas!

Every night, Joe Coots and I have a ritual. He picks me up and I help him crack his back. It's nice to feel needed.
We all wore name tags to the awesome opening night party that the Gammage Center threw for us, so we stuck them all on the back of DB Bonds because we think we are comedians.

We were graciously thrown an after show dinner party by David Horowitz, a patron of the ASU Gammage Center, at his home in Phoenix. Check out that beautiful spread!

Every night we put our hands in at the top of the show and chant, "OI, OI, OI, SHOES!" The Broadway company began this tradition and we love to do it as well!

I was so glad to get to see the parents of my childhood friend, Kim Sweet, in AZ! It's always nice to see familiar faces from home on the road. We had an extraordinary dinner at House of Tricks before they saw the show.
In Tempe, it was swing Jeff Kuhr's debut as a factory worker! Next up: San Diego!
The first thing we did upon arrival to San Diego was celebrate Tommy Martinez's birthday. Check out that gorgeous cake!
We had a tacky gift exchange ceremony and chaos ensued.

We were told a must-try in Portland was Voodoo Doughnuts, so we threw our bags down at the hotel and ran straight out to sample some treats, which did not disappoint.

On tour, the company travels trunks for us. This is so we can store extra things, such as seasonal clothes, extra shoes, miscellaneous items, toiletries, etc. Here are all of our trunks lined up backstage in Portland.

In the show, I play a nurse for about 10 seconds. This week, on the chair where I change, instead of the character title, "Nurse," it says the following. Foreshadowing, indeed.....

In Portland we had a put in rehearsal for Darius Harper, Ross Lekites and Lauren Chapman. They were amazing! Lauren will be going on for the role of Lauren this week!
Ryan Fielding Garrett, our awesome Associate Music Director has decided to don a wig for this put in rehearsal. This is what we get to look at in the monitors, people.
Another blast from the past! Jenny Spencer was another <i>Annie Get Your Gun</i> castmate of mine back in the day. It was so wonderful to see her in Portland and meet her husband, Bobby.
My sweet and talented high school friend Brian Strumwasser (makeup designer for <i>Gentleman's Guide</i>) was in town the same week as us so we caught a drink after the show and got to catch up!
