Follow Ryann Redmond Through the Escape to Margaritaville Opening Night
My mom flew in from Atlanta this morning and we are ready for a day of Margaritaville celebration! She and my best friend Andrew Berlin are my dates tonight.
Opening Night gifts and cards are ready! My Grandma made personalized compasses for the cast and team. They have the latitude and longitude of the Marquis Theatre!
On my way to the theatre and the breezeway is decked out with a step and repeat and a blue carpet.
One of my favorite parts about Opening Night is when we get scans from other Broadway shows. The other casts sign a piece of paper and send it to be posted on the wall. Love getting the words of encouragement from fellow companies!
Gifts start pouring in! Love seeing the fun, show themed presents.
The calm before the storm. Seats soon to be filled with parrotheads and theatre fans alike!
The front of this boat is a fairly new addition to our amazing set by Walt Spangler. I love that it's named Beautifulness! Come see our show to catch that reference ;)
Our fearless leader and director Christopher Ashley, pumping us up and delivering a heartwarming speech to send us into our opening performance. He truly is an "actor's director" and one of the smartest guys I know.
We had 8 Broadway debuts in our company! You can see the joy on their faces. Such an accomplishment for 8 talented and deserving actors.
My If/Then buddy, Curtis Holbrook, came to pass off the gypsy robe to one of our cast members with the most Broadway ensemble credits. Can you guess who received it?
