Christine Dwyer, who starred as Elphaba in the Broadway and touring companies of Wicked, takes on the role of Jenna in the national tour of Waitress. She succeeds original tour star Desi Oakley beginning September 28 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dwyer’s additional credits include the national tour of Finding Neverland and NBC’s recent Jesus Christ Superstar: Live in Concert.

The current tour cast also features Lenne Klingaman as Dawn, Bryan Fenkart as Dr. Pomatter, Nick Bailey, as Earl, Ryan G. Dunkin as Cal, Charity Angél Dawson as Becky, Larry Marshall as Joe, and Jeremy Morse as Ogie.

The Diane Paulus-helmed musical, featuring a score by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, opened at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre in April 2016.
