The play, set in America, describes the serial killing of frail old men by a pair of dotty old spinsters, who live in a rambling old house with their mad brother (who thinks he’s a dead President). The plot thickens when one of their nephews — a drama critic — discovers a body in their dining room, and another psychotic nephew, returns to the family home with a criminal accomplice and another body in tow.
This production of Joseph Kesselring’s play opened at the Strand on Feb. 25.
