News West End’s Arsenic and Old Lace Extends Run Arsenic and Old Lace, starring Thelma Barlow, Marcia Warren, Michael Richards and Stephen Tompkinson, has extended its run at the Strand Theatre by six weeks, to June 21.

The play, set in America, describes the serial killing of frail old men by a pair of dotty old spinsters, who live in a rambling old house with their mad brother (who thinks he’s a dead President). The plot thickens when one of their nephews — a drama critic — discovers a body in their dining room, and another psychotic nephew, returns to the family home with a criminal accomplice and another body in tow.

This production of Joseph Kesselring’s play opened at the Strand on Feb. 25.
