RANGE a cappella (of “Hamilton in 7 Minutes” fame), has recorded a new arrangement of Stephen Schwartz’s “Meadowlark,” from his musical The Baker’s Wife—specifically at the request of Schwartz.
The a cappella vocal group features co-founders Ross Baum and Ben Holtzman, Hannah Corneau (Renascence, national tour Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Chris Dwan (Finding Neverland), Jeremiah Haley, Mary Claire King (My Fair Lady, War Paint), Clark Kinkade, Stephanie Jae Park (War Paint, The King & I), Sydney Patrick, Erika Peterson, and Angela Travino.
The group was asked to arrange and perform the song for the subscription-based Stage Network’s original series, Studio Sessions, in an upcoming episode exploring the music of Schwartz.
Founded in 2014, RANGE has performed on E! Live from the Red Carpet and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. They’ve collaborated with Nickelodeon on six music videos, as well as with Billboard, Sesame Street, and Playbill (watch below). RANGE performed their “Evolution of Kelly Clarkson” with Kelly Clarkson herself at Radio City Music Hall during her Piece by Piece tour. More recently, they performed at the inaugural ceremony for the Lincoln Center Hall of Fame honoring Broadway producer/director Harold Prince. Their premier album RANGE vol. 1 dropped in March of 2017 and is available on all streaming platforms.
