The three young performers who share the title role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory took a break from headlining on Broadway to wind down with one of their favorite hobbies: building Lego sets. Watch their chat with Playbill’s Tyler Mount above.
Ryan Sell, Ryan Foust, and Jake Ryan Flynn developed their fascination with the popular bricks after their co-star, two-time Tony winner Christian Borle, left them each a Lego set during tech. Since then, they can often be found spending the little time they do have off-stage constructing various models.
In the interview from the Lego Store in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, the trio also share their Broadway dream roles—including two iconic characters and one from a fellow new musical.
