Panic! At the Disco frontman Brendon Urie, who is playing a limited run in Broadway's Tony-winning Kinky Boots, recently sat down with ABC's Nightline. Watch the interview above.
The acclaimed singer, who plays Charlie Price in the musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, spoke about his Mormon upbringing, his ties to the LGBTQ community (including his emotional response to Marriage Equality), and his current Broadway debut.
Urie was joined by Tony winner Cyndi Lauper, who wrote the long-running musical with fellow Tony winner Harvey Fierstein.
About Urie, Lauper said, “He's fantastic. Are you kidding me? I saw him the first night, and I knew. I think that he brings a lot of life to this show. I also think he could be a movie star if he wanted. He just has the natural ability. The world is his oyster.”
