Natalie Toro, who plays Esther in Arena Stage's upcoming world premiere of Snow Child, performs "The Things That Are True" from the new musical in the video above.

Toro is accompanied by musical supervisor-orchestrator Lynne Shankel on piano and Bob Banghart on mandolin.

The musical features a score by Banghart and Georgia Stitt with lyrics by Stitt. John Strand pens the book.

Snow Child, based on Eowyn Ivey’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated novel, plays April 13–May 20 in the Kreeger Theater. The co-production with Perseverance Theatre will subsequently play two engagements in Alaska: Anchorage (May 25–27) and Juneau (June 9–10).
