Regional News Watch Mean Girls’ Ashley Park and Amanda Seyfried Duet on an Apt Taylor Swift Song Broadway’s Gretchen and the original movie’s Karen took the stage together at Williamstown Theater Festival.

At the Williamstown Theater Festival’s late night cabaret July 25–27, actors Ashley Park and Amanda Seyfried took the stage to perform Taylor Swift’s “Mean” and Lily Allen’s “F**k You.”

The duo rewrote the lyrics to include as many Mean Girls references as possible in an arrangement by Director of the Williamstown Cabaret Jack Mitchell. Watch the video of their July 25 performance above.

Park is currently at WTF as part of the cast of Bess Wohl’s new play Grand Horizons, which played its final performance July 28. Park played the wife of Thomas Sadoski’s character (Seyfried and Sadoski are married in real life). The play is set to bow on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre beginning performances December 20, though casting has not yet been announced.

Seyfried originated the role of Karen in the original Mean Girls film, while Park earned a Tony nomination for her performance as Gretchen in the Broadway musical adaptation. Park has previously appeared on Broadway at Tuptim in Lincoln Center Theater’s The King and I as well as the most recent revival of Sunday in the Park With George. Though Seyfried has not appeared on Broadway, she has led the movie musicals Mamma Mia! as Sophie and Les Misérables as Cosette. She starred in Neil LaBute's The Way We Get By Off-Broadway in 2015, where she met Sadoski.
