Watch Live as Disney Cruise Lines Goes Behind the Scenes of Frozen | Playbill

News Watch Live as Disney Cruise Lines Goes Behind the Scenes of Frozen Disney Parks Live is live-streaming a behind-the-scenes video of Frozen.

The animated hit film Frozen, which is currently in development to become a Broadway musical, has also hit the high seas. Disney goes behind the scenes—watch it live above.

Frozen, A Musical Spectacular can be seen exclusively aboard Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wonder.

To adapt the show for the high seas, Walt Disney Imagineering creative executive Kevin Eld enlisted Tony Award-nominated director Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall, Mothers and Sons). The creative team also includes Tony Award-winning costume designer Paloma Young (Peter and the Starcatcher), choreographer Josh Prince (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), scenic designer Jason Sherwood (Paint Your Wagon), and writer Sara Wordsworth (In Transit).

Frozen, a Musical Spectacular features music direction by Marco Paguia, projection design by Aaron Rhyne, and lighting design by Rui Rita. The dynamic puppetry by Michael Curry, whose designs are featured in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway, brings physicality to characters like Sven and Olaf.

The story, according to Disney Cruise Lines, “will be presented like never before, with an innovative combination of traditional theatrical techniques, modern technology and classic Disney whimsy, completely unique to the Disney Wonder production. The show features dynamic costumes and sets, remarkable special effects, and spectacular production numbers that expand upon the most imaginative elements of the film.”
