Stage to Page Watch Heathers Star Carrie Hope Fletcher Cover New Aladdin Song 'Speechless' The stage veteran, who will play Fantine when Les Misérables returns to the West End, covers the tune from Alan Menken and Pasek and Paul.

West End Heathers and Les Misérables star Carrie Hope Fletcher covers "Speechless," the new song written by Alan Menken, Benj Pasek, and Justin Paul for the recent live-action adaptation of Aladdin, in the video above. The song was originally sung by Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine in the film, which arrived in movie theatres May 24.

Fletcher was last seen in the West End playing Veronica Sawyer in the premiere London run of Heathers: The Musical, which opened in June 2018 at The Other Palace before a West End transfer to the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Previous credits include Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family and Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

She began her career as a child actor, playing Young Eponine in Les Misérables in the West End in 2001, Jimima Potts in the original London cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Jane Banks in Mary Poppins. Fletcher became the first and only actor to play both young and older Eponine when she re-joined the production as an adult in 2013. She will return to the show—now as Fantine—later this year when Les Misérables opens again in the West End as a concert production.
