On June 11, Dear Evan Hansen star Mike Faist walked the red carpet as a Tony nominee for Featured Actor in a Musical. Hours later, he walked away part of the Tony-winning Best Musical.
The 25-year-old actor was thrilled to be at his first Tony Awards celebrating Broadway and theatre.
“It’s a place where we as humans can come together and learn truths in a healthy way and cope and deal, and we can examine human behavior and know why we are the way we are,” said Faist of the importance of theatre. “[There’s] something special about that.”
