The official music video for the pop single re-release of “Beauty and the Beast,” featuring Ariana Grande and John Legend, has just been revealed. The duo recorded the song for Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, which hits theatres March 17.
Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s Oscar-winning tune, originally recorded by multiple Tony winner Angela Lansbury for the 1991 animated feature, is performed by Emma Thompson in the upcoming live-action version.
The 1991 animated original was also accompanied by the release of a pop duet of the title song, which was recorded by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. The single peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, and won the Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals.
The Grande-Legend track is produced by Ron Fair. Dave Meyers directed the music video.
The new live-action Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, and Luke Evans as Gaston.
