The Tony winner dedicated the cover to Creel during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Time to pull out the tissues. It has been 50 days since Gavin Creel passed away, and as the community continues to grapple with his loss, Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth has released a song as a salve.

During her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show November 18, Chenoweth performed a heartfelt cover of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" in tribute to the late Tony winner. Video of her rendition can be viewed above.

The Kelly Clarkson Show was yet another stop in Chenoweth's current television blitz, which also saw her appear on Late Night with Seth Meyers November 18. On both programs, Chenoweth discussed her upcoming Netflix Christmas movie Our Little Secret, and what it is like for her to see Ariana Grande blossom as Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked.

Chenoweth and Seth Meyers have a special additional theatrical connection, however. As Meyers recalled on his program, "I'm very proud of myself, because the last time I saw you, I had the unique opportunity to recommend a show to you!"

As Chenoweth recalls, "We were at The Whitney, and this knucklehead comes up to me. We're hugging, and I get to see your wife, which I was really excited about, and he goes, 'I want to tell you about this show, Oh, Mary!' He goes 'I don't even like musicals.'" Chenoweth pauses as the audiences roars with laughter. "I'm standing right there, Seth! And I'm just like, 'Just let him keep talking,' and he goes, 'You know, I mean, they can be really bad, right'... 'Seth, it's kind of what I'm known for?!' But because of your recommendation, I went to see it, and I was blown away. It's fantastic. But you're just like my brother, he hates musical theatre, too."
