Alyssa M. Williams' new musical follows the interwoven stories of a group of friends, from California to New York City.

Alyssa M. Williams' Two Thousand Miles will receive industry presentations at Open Jar Studios March 15 at 12 PM and 5 PM. Based on Williams' struggles living with rheumatoid arthritis, the new musical was previously presented at the John & Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center in Orlando.

Two Thousand Miles follows the interwoven stories of a group of friends, from California to New York City. The story focuses on Davis, a former business student turned playwright battling lupus; and his boyfriend Nate, an accomplished composer. As the pair writes a musical, they watch their friends confront challenges including rheumatoid arthritis, career setbacks, and unexpected pregnancy.

The work is written and conceived by Alyssa M. Williams, and features music and lyrics by Hans Zanger, with additional book and lyric material by Jaclyn Nash and additional music by Taylor Guttadauro.
