Directed by John Simpkins, the production will star Kyle Barisich (The Phantom of the Opera) as Marvin and Leslie Henstock as Trina (A Christmas Story and The Light in the Piazza national tours) with Donald Coggin as Whizzer, Brent Schraff as Mendel, Tyler Altomari as Jason, Jane Bruce as Dr. Charlotte and Danielle Gimbal as Cordelia.
Performances will continue through July 20.
Winner of Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score, the show, according to press notes, "tells the tale of Marvin - who leaves his wife and child for another man - and the sometimes hilarious, sometimes disastrous, always heart-filled and human ways they try to celebrate a different kind of family."
Other members of the creative team include choreographer Connor Gallagher, music director Joshua Zecher-Ross, production designer Michael Schweikardt, costume designer Michelle Eden Humphrey, lighting designer Chris Dallos and sound designer Brad Berridge. Geoff Josselson is the casting director, and Thomas J. Coppola is production stage manager.
Original Broadway cast members Michael Rupert, Stephen Bogardus, Chip Zien, Jonathan C. Kaplan and Heather MacRae will attend the July 12 performances (at 3 PM and 8 PM) and will participate in a post-show talkback.
