PREVIEWS→ A serial killer is on the loose in Romanian avant-garde pioneer Eugène Ionesco's 1959 drama, aptly titled The Killer. In this Theatre for a New Audience production, Oscar nominee Michael Shannon plays Berenger (also of Ionesco's Exit the King), a man on the search the eponymous killer. GO→ Tony nominee John Tartaglia joins The Little Orchestra Society for their final Happy Kids Concert of the season. The Peabody Award-winning series gives kids the chance to enjoy art and music with their families. Tartaglia will narrate from the children's mystery book "The Composer is Dead," by famed YA author, Lemony Snicket (nee Daniel Handler). Sunday May 18
LAST CHANCE→ Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale star in Jason Robert Brown's Broadway revamp of the classic tearjerker The Bridges of Madison County. GO→ Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda continues his celebration of Washington Heights' historic United Palace theatre with the fifth in his "Sunday Movies at the Palace" series. This Sunday, the theatre will screen the 1979 cult classic "The Warriors." Tony-winning Def Comedy Jam member Lemon Andersen will join Miranda to introduce the flick. Monday, May 19
GO→ Two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone returns to her roots for a one-night-only performance of Marc Blitzstein's famous pro-labor musical The Cradle Will Rock, a benefit for The Acting Company. LuPone is a founding member of the traveling theatre troupe and first performed in Cradle with the company back in 1983. LuPone's son, Joshua Johnston, who joined The Acting Company on tour this past season, will perform with his mom onstage for the historic concert, directed by Lonny Price.
