PREVIEWS→ The latest actor to enter the quirky underbelly of dark comedy that is a Martin McDonagh play is none other than Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe. In The Cripple of Inishmaan, Radcliffe plays the handicapped man of the title, who, despite his maladies, wants to star in a Hollywood film. OPENING→ Audra McDonald — surely gunning for a record-breaking sixth Tony Award — is back on Broadway carrying a heavy load in a nearly one-woman show. In Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, McDonald plays a troubled Billie Holliday on the evening of one of her final performances before her untimely death from cirrhosis of the liver, caused by years of alcohol and narcotics abuse. PREVIEWS→ Real-life husband and wife, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, scale the emotional heights of Sharr White's new play Annapurna, about a divorcee who returns to the trailer of her ex after 20 years to find he's in dire straights. CLICK→ The Olivier Awards are upon us, honoring the best in West End theatre. Bernadette Peters will perform backed by the BBC Orchestra. Competing for Best New Musical, and also performing during the telecast, are the West End companies of The Book of Mormon, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Once and The Scottsboro Boys. PREVIEWS→ Last year's hit Off-Broadway experience Here Lies Love returns to the Public Theater. The David Byrne-Fatboy Slim musical uses disco and dance club influences to tell the story of Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos. Jose Llana and Ruthie Ann Miles reprise their roles as the first couple of the Philippines whose corrupt rule and notorious extravagance led to exile. Alex Timbers directs the immersive theatre experience that has its audience moving and dancing around the nightclub/theatre. Officially opens May 1. (Public Theatre, 425 Lafayette Street. OPENING→ James Franco and Chris O'Dowd make their Broadway debuts as George and Lennie in Of Mice and Men. This Anna D. Shapiro-helmed revival of John Steinbeck's classic about the exploits of two field hands during the Great Depression also marks the stage debut of "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester. GO→ Liz Callaway and Ann Hampton Callaway bring their critically acclaimed sister act Sibling Revelry back to New York.
