The auction included the brown dress worn by Maria as she sang "Do-Re-Mi" to the Von Trapp children, as well as lederhosen worn by the children.

A revival of the original stage version of The Sound of Music at London's Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, began performances July 25 prior to an official opening Aug. 5, for a run through Sept. 7. NBC will air a live broadcast of The Sound of Music, starring Carrie Underwood, on a date to be announced near the holidays in 2013.
