Danny DeVito, who received a 2017 Tony nomination for his performance in the revival of Arthur Miller's The Price, will join fellow stage and screen star Jeff Goldblum (Seminar, The Pillowman) for a currently untitled new series now in development for Amazon Studios, according to Deadline.

The half-hour comedy from Imagine Television is written by creator Tim Long and concerns two former music icons, Arlo Finkelman, who will be played by DeVito, and Matt Downey, to be played by Goldblum.

Downey and Finkelman, according to the industry website, "are forced to reunite despite their longstanding hatred for each other. As the talented but strong-willed pair attempt to reconcile, they turn to the people who somehow manage to love these two incandescent idiots — their wives, ex-wives, children, managers, friends and lovers."

DeVito, best known for his award-winning work in the TV series Taxi and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, will executive produce the series with his son Jake DeVito, as well as Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.
