Julia Udine, seen on Broadway and in the national tour of The Phantom of the Opera as Christine Daaé, stars in the Walnut Street Theatre's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tell Me on a Sunday, which officially opens April 12.
Directed by Debi Marcucci, performances of the solo show are scheduled through June 10 in the Independent Studio on 3 in Philadelphia.
Tell Me on a Sunday, with music by Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black, concerns the adventures of an English woman who searches for love in America. Songs include “Come Back With the Same Look in Your Eyes,” “Unexpected Song,” and “Take That Look off Your Face.”
The production also has scenic design by Roman Tatarowicz, costume design by Sarah Mitchell, and lighting design by Troy O’Shia.

Originally produced as an album starring English musical theatre star Marti Webb, Tell Me On a Sunday was combined with Lloyd Webber's Variations to form Song and Dance, a two-act concert for the London theatre. Webb and Wayne Sleep starred in the initial London mounting. The show, in a revised form, opened on Broadway in 1985 starring Bernadette Peters, who won a Tony Award for her performance. Betty Buckley succeeded Peters in the role on Broadway. Webb has returned to the musical several times throughout her career.
