Joe’s Pub, the 190-seat supper club in Manhattan‘s Greenwich Village, will host these upcoming events of interest to theatre folk the week of April 6–12.
April 6–9: The Outer Space Ethan Lipton's solo musical accompanied by a quartet of musicians, about a married couple who try to renew their relationship by escaping the pressures of Earth and moving to a colony in space. 7 PM each evening, plus 1 PM April 9. Click here for more details.
April 10: Nancy And Beth featuring Megan Mullally & Stephanie Hunt Emmy Award-winning actor Mullally (Young Frankenstein, Will & Grace) and fellow actor Stephanie Hunt (Friday Night Lights, Californication) perform blues, rap, and comedy songs with their band. 7:30 PM
April 10: Let Me Ascertain You: Hate Actually Theatre collective The Civilians present “an interview-based cabaret” in which they explore “the ways in which we dislike, despise and detest.” 9 PM
April 11: Women of Letters An all-women literary salon celebrating the lost art of letter writing, hosted by Sofija Stefanovic. Guests include singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega and writers Joan Juliet Buck, Stephan Danler, and Susan Kent.
April 12: Lift Every Voice, presented in association with Musical Theatre Factory. Showcase of new work by musical theatre writers of color, including Troy Anthony, David Davila, David Gomez, Edison Hong, Khiyon Hursey, Sukari Jones, John-Michael Lyles, Douglas Lyons, Michael R. Jackson, Brett Macias, Cheeyang Ng, Janet Noh, Ronve O'Daniel, Jerome Parker, Noemi de la Puente, and Lauren F. Walker.

Named for the Public Theater’s founder Joe Papp, the cabaret space opened in 1998 inside the Public Theater building at 425 Lafayette Street, just downtown from Astor Place in Manhattan. The eclectic booking policy extends to plays, bands, monologists, and acts that don’t fall into traditional categories.
