The Office! A Musical Parody, the new show from Bob and Tobly McSmith, creators of the long-running Friends! The Musical Parody, officially opened October 3 Off-Broadway.
With direction by Donald Garverick, the show began performances September 24 at The Jerry Orbach Theater.
Sarah Mackenzie Baron leads the cast as Michael Scott and is joined by Michael Santora as Dwight Schrute, Tom McGovern as Jim Halpert and Andy Bernard, Taylor Coriell as Pam Beesly and Erin Hannon, Katie Johantgen as Angela Martin and others, Rebecca Mason-Wygal as Phyllis Vance, Meredith Palmer, and others, and Ani Djirdjirian as Kelly Kapoor and others. Madeline Glenn and Patrick Swailes Caldwell are the swings.
In The Office! A Musical Parody, a documentary TV crew has begun filming the lives of the employees at Scranton’s third-largest paper company, Dunder Mifflin. Songs inspired by The Office will include “Welcome to Diversity Day,” “That's What She Said,” “Goodbye Toby, You're the Worsty,” “The Creed of Creed,” “WUPHF! (There It Is),” “Marry Me, Beasley,” and “Thread Level Mid Afternoon.” Assaf Gleizner is the show's composer.
