"The lunacy takes place in a reputedly haunted Victorian house where a sale is about to be completed, depending upon which door opens next and what's going on behind it," according to SCR. "Hilarious complications ensue as men and women, attached and unattached, emerge from bedrooms above, mid-level and below, and along a very crowded hallway. Ayckbourn is one of the world's most successful living playwrights and a South Coast Repertory audience favorite. Taking Steps is the ninth Ayckbourn play produced at SCR." The creative team for Taking Steps includes Ralph Funicello (set design), Angela Balogh Calin (costume design), Geoff Korf (lighting design), David Nevell (voice and dialect coach), Darin Anthony (assistant director) and Julie Haber (stage manager).
