Just months after winning The National High School Musical Theatre Awards (a.k.a. the Jimmy Awards), Fabiola Caraballo Quijada, as previously reported, will step into the title role of the North American tour of & Juliet.
Caraballo Quijada—fresh from graduating Texas' Tyler Legacy High
School, where she was a three-time Jimmy Award nominee—and the year two & Juliet company will officially
begin performances in Sacramento, California, September 24 at the Safe Credit Union PAC.
Joining Caraballo Quijada will be the newly announced Paul-Jordan Jansen and Kathryn Allison returning in their respective roles of Lance and Angélique plus newcomers Crystal Kellogg as Anne Hathaway, CJ Eldred as Shakespeare, Nico Ochoa as May, Joseph Torres as Romeo, and Noah Marlowe as François.
The ensemble includes Jared Alexander, Dasean Brown, Bridgette Carey, Lois Ellise, Josh Fermin, Jourdan Ibe, Armani Ponder-Keith, Cayla Primous, Matt Rene Rivera, Bex Robinson, Kayla Saunders, Robbie Serrano, Kyra Smith, Alex Tho, Daniel Tracht, and Ryan Winkler.

Following its Sacramento engagement, the tour will go on to visit more than 40 cities in its second year, including Miami, San Antonio, Montreal, Indianapolis, San Diego, Austin, and the tour’s return to Chicago.

The hit musical flips the script on the William Shakespeare classic, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo.
Featuring a book by David West Read, the score includes a
mix of tunes by Max Martin and more, including “Since U Been Gone,”
“Roar,” “I Want It That Way,” and “Confident.”
The production also has direction by Luke Sheppard, choreography by Jennifer Weber, musical supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Bill Sherman, scenic design by Soutra Gilmour, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Gareth Owen, video projection design by Andrzej Goulding, hair, wig, and makeup design by J. Jared Janas, and musical direction by Andre Cerullo.
The Broadway production, which continues at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, was nominated for nine 2023 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
U.S. casting is by Stephen Kopel, Carrie Gardner, and Jillian Cimini. & Juliet is executive-produced on Broadway and on tour by Eva Price.
The touring production is stage managed by Joel Rosen. The company manager is Denny Daniello.
