Greg Ostrin's Kowalski, a new play exploring the first meeting between Tennessee Williams and Marlon Brando, has officially opened Off-Broadway, and the reviews are rolling in!
The play, which began its New York premiere January 12, will continue through February 23.
Directed by Colin Hanlon, the cast features Robin Lord Taylor (Gotham) as Tennessee Williams and Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why) as Marlon Brando with Alison Cimmet (Gary) as Margo Jones, Ellie Ricker (Y2K) as Jo, and Sebastian Treviño (On Your Feet!) as Pancho Rodriguez.

Set in a 1947 Provincetown beach house, the play unfolds over one sultry night as Williams (who is in the midst of crafting A Streetcar Named Desire), director Margo Jones, Pancho Rodriguez, and a young Brando unravel together.
The creative team includes costume designer Lisa Zinni, scenic designer David Gallo, lighting designer Jeff Croiter, sound designer Bill Toles, movement specialist Nancy Renee Braun, casting director Stephen DeAngelis, and general manager Aaron Grant Theatrical.
Kowalski is produced by Helm Capital/Jeffrey Sherman, Nathan Hughes, Karl E. Held, Willette & Manny Klausner, Grace Street Creative, and Faried Assad.
