News Reba McEntire to Join NBC's "The Voice" Country superstar Reba McEntire, who starred on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, has signed on as an adviser who will team up with celebrity judge Blake Shelton on NBC's "The Voice," according to EW.com.

McEntire is one of four advisers to join the reality series. Singer-songwriter Sia Furler will team up with judge Christina Aguilera, music producer Adam Blackstone will join judge Adam Levine, and R&B singer Monica will assist judge Cee Lo Green.

The advisers will come into play when the show enters the next phase of the competition: the "battles" round, where two contestants from each team go head-to-head in a duet of the same song to determine elimination. The "battles" round follows the first round of blind auditions, where the judges could not see the contestants while they performed their audition songs.

The advisers are also expected to "advise" contestants on their song selection and performance technique.

McEntire, Monica, Furler and Blackstone were handpicked by the judges. Sia worked with Aguilera on both “Bionic” and "Burlesque," Blackstone is Maroon 5’s music director, and Green and Shelton have close friendships with Monica and McEntire, respectively.

The next episode of "The Voice" will air May 3 at 9 PM ET on NBC. Carson Daly hosts.
