Our Lady J will return to Joe's Pub this October for an evening of comedy and original song. The writer behind Pose and Transparent will chronicle her experience as a trans director, writer, and producer in Hollywood at a tumultuous time for trans rights.
The former RuPaul's Drag Race star began her career traveling as a collaborative musician for Broadway and classical musical performances. She is one of the first openly trans women to perform at Carnegie Hall, and the first openly trans woman to be hired in a television writer's room.
Our Lady J will perform at the Public Theater's cabaret venue October 11 and October 25 at 9:30 PM.
