"In Their Company" is currently on exhibit through Oct. 31 at the gallery in the DUMBO neighborhood. Collins photographed playwrights including Tony Kushner, John Patrick Shanley, Lisa Kron, Anna Deveare Smith, Adam Rapp and Edward Albee for the black-and-white project. A book of the same title is also available.
In addition, The Play Company will host "Face to Face: Portraits in Theatre & Photography" on Oct. 26 at 7 PM at New Dramatists (321 W. 44th Street). Collins will join playwrights Kia Corthron, ?Lisa Kron and Adam Rapp to discuss "how they approach creating portraits on stage and with a camera."
