Miss Saigon opened on Broadway in 1991 and won three 1991 Tony Awards, including Best Actress in a Musical for Lea Salonga, who played the ill-fated Kim. A critically acclaimed revival recently opened in London.

Hello, Dolly! opened on Broadway in 1964 starring Carol Channing in the title role. Channing, who won a Tony for her performance, also starred in the musical's two subsequent Broadway revivals.

Andrew John Howell: An All African American version of Gypsy with Tonya Pinkins as Rose and Anika Noni Rose as Gypsy Rose Lee.

Chad Campbell: Gypsy starring Stephanie J. Block!!

Gypsy opened on Broadway in 1959 starring Ethel Merman as stage mother Rose. Subsequent Broadway revivals have featured the Roses of Angela Lansbury, Tyne Daly, Bernadette Peters and Patti LuPone. Funny Girl opened on Broadway in 1964 at the Winter Garden Theatre starring Barbra Streisand. Stresiand later starred in the Academy Award-winning film adaptaion. The musical has yet to be revived on Broadway.

Jason Robert Brown's Parade opened on Broadway in 1998 winning the composer his first Tony Award for Best Original Score. Alfred Uhry was also Tony-honored for Best Book of a Musical.
