Pippin features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. This production is directed by Diane Paulus, with choreography by Chet Walker, circus creation by Gypsy Snider and music supervision by Nadia DiGiallonardo.
The cast of the international tour is led by Gabrielle McClinton as The Leading Player and Brian Flores as Pippin. John Rubinstein, who originated the role of Pippin on Broadway in 1972, appears as Charles. Priscilla Lopez reprises her role as Berthe, and Erik Altemus reprises his role as Lewis.

Pippin is described as such: "The young son of the medieval French ruler Charlemange is encouraged by a flashy troupe of strolling players to try his hand at war, love, and other joys before settling down."
Following Pippin will be the world premiere of Prince of Broadway, a show celebrating the career of director and producer Harold Prince. The cast includes Josh Grisetti, Shuler Hensley, Ramin Karimloo, Nancy Opel, Bryonha Marie Parham, Emily Skinner, Mariand Torres, Kaley Ann Voorhees, Tony Yazbek, Reon Yuzuki and Masachika Ichimura. The production will run Oct. 23-Nov. 22.
