Mr. Shaw was 84 and died at the couple's Brentwood, CA, home. Lansbury withdrew from the planned production of a musical version of The Visit to tend to her ill husband in recent years. Mr. Shaw was born in Reading, England, and served in the army during World War II. He met Lansbury when they were both working for M-G-M. They were married in London in 1949 and enjoyed one of the seemingly rare long-running show-business marriages.
Over the years, Mr. Shaw was an agent for William Morris, representing such stars as Robert Mitchum and Katharine Hepburn. He returned to M-G-M in the 1960s to be assistant head of production, and would return to William Morris.
He and his sons created Corymore Productions at Universal Studios in 1987 and co-produced the hit TV series, "Murder, She Wrote," starring Lansbury.
