MacLaine will appear in a multi-episode arc on the series, playing a powerful New York socialite who aims to bring Blaine (How to Succeed's Darren Criss) to superstardom.
Her first episode is slated to air later this month.
MacLaine was nominated for a 1984 Drama Desk Award for Shirley MacLaine on Broadway and has also been seen in Me and Juliet, The Pajama Game and her solo show Shirley MacLaine.
