Merrily We Roll Along star Ann Morrison, who sold out a concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below in 2014, returns to the Manhattan nightspot with an all-new show, My Furniture Set, January 3.

Morrison, who introduced the Stephen Sondheim songs “Like It Was” and “Old Friends” in the role of Mary Flynn in Merrily We Roll Along, will perform a selection of show tunes, jazz, pop, blues that constitute the “furniture moments of our lives,” along with stories woven from her life, and four original songs created with music director John Shirley, who will accompany Morrison on the piano.

Morrison, who appeared in the Off-Broadway musicals Goblin Market and Forbidden Broadway, and in the London musical Peg, has one other Broadway credit, the 2007 LoveMusikm, and has appeared in theatre productions around the U.S., including Sarasota, Florida, where she has made her home. She said the current concert was inspired by Sarasota’s Home Resource Furniture store, which is is sometimes used as an alternative theatre space there. My Furniture Set includes songs “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever” by Lerner & Loewe and “Our House” by Crosby, Stills, and Nash.

Morrison will perform at the 7 PM show. At 9:30 PM that same evening Morrison’s son Huck Walton will take to the same stage as part of the club’s salute to Merrily We Roll Along by children of the original cast members:
