New York Philharmonic christens the newly renovated David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center with an Opening Night Gala October 26. The all-star roster of stars set to perform at the event includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sara Bareilles, Ta'Rea CampbellBrandon Victor Dixon, Renée Fleming, Joaquina Kalukango, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bernadette Peters, Nik Walker, and Vanessa Williams.

The evening, which also includes a celebratory reception and seated dinner, showcases the refurbished Hall's new features, which include the elimination of its proscenium, a stage that has been moved forward 25 feet, and a steeper rake to the orchestra level seating to improve acoustics and sightlines, along with state-of-the-art HVAC systems to ensure optimal air filtration and purification. 

The Philharmonic is led by conductors Jaap van Zweden and Rob Mathes, with the performance also set to feature the New York Philharmonic Chorus, led by Malcolm J. Merriweather; and the Juilliard Preparatory Division Chorus, led by Esther Liu Harris, Adrian Rodriguez, and Patrick Romano.

Opening celebrations will continue October 28 with another gala performance, with Beethoven's Ninth Symphony serving as the centerpiece of the evening's bill. The performance will also include a world premiere by Angélica Negrón and will feature vocalists Joélle Harvey, Kelley O'Connor, Issachah Savage, and Davóne Tines.
