Tyler Glenn, the lead singer of the multi-platinum rock band Neon Trees, makes his Broadway debut in the Tony-winning Kinky Boots May 6.

Glenn takes over the role of Charlie Price at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The singer, whose Neon Trees song “Everybody Talks” was a Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, will play a limited run through July 15. He succeeds American Idol winner David Cook, who concluded his run May 5.
Glenn joins Carrie St. Louis (Wicked, Cruel Intentions), who took over the role of Lauren May 4. J. Harrison Ghee, recently seen in the Paper Mill Playhouse world premiere of The Sting, returned to the role of Lola May 1.
“I’m over the moon to make my Broadway debut playing Charlie Price,” Glenn said in an earlier statement. “I love this show and its message of inclusion and its genuine sweetness and humanity. Plus, it’s just so much fun. I’m honored to be a part of the family and rock the boots all summer long!”
