The musical adaptation of Beetlejuice is set to make its world premiere at Washington, D.C.'s National Theatre this fall. Performances will run October 14 through November 18; opening night is set for November 4. A Broadway transfer is expected to follow.

Alex Brightman and Sophia Anne Caruso will star as Beetlejuice and Lydia, respectively, with Kerry Butler (Mean Girls) and Rob McClure (Honeymoon in Vegas) as Barbara and Adam Maitland, Adam Dannheisser (Oslo) and Leslie Kritzer (Something Rotten!) as Charles and Delia Deetz, Jill Abramovitz (Fiddler on the Roof) and Danny Rutigliano (Holiday Inn) as Maxine and Maxi Dean, and Kelvin Moon Loh (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Otho.
