This year's festival in Colorado will spotlight six solo works.

A host of theatre favorites will head to Colorado next month for Theatre Aspen's sixth annual Solo Flights Festival, which will be presented September 2–7 at Theatre Aspen’s Hurst Theatre and The Wheeler Opera House.

Among those taking part in the yearly developmental festival of one-person shows are Emmy and Grammy nominee Margaret Cho, Tony nominee Marc Kudisch, Gordon Greenberg, Sharone Sayegh, Tony nominee Dick Scanlan, and Adam Kantor.

The six solo works, all receiving early developmental support from Theatre Aspen, include The Goldsmith, written by and starring Sharone Sayegh with direction by Zachary Prince and music and music arrangements by Avi Amon; Gordon Greenberg's Ghost Tour, directed by Stephen Brackett and starring Adam Kantor; Mourning Songs, written by and starring Ryan Langer with direction by Gregg Wiggans and Jack Cumming III; The Vampire, written by and Starring Alec Silberblatt with direction by Paul Edwards; Dick Scanlan and Marc Kudisch's Mark Twain Shouldn’t Say Such Things, starring Kudisch with direction by Scanlan; and Mommy: A One-Woman Cho, written by and starring Margaret Cho with direction by Seonjae Kim and additional material by Leah Nanako Winkler.

The festival also features talkbacks, creative discussions, and receptions.
