Macy's Herald Square is hosting the contest, which will be held at the Fragrance Arcade, located on the Main Floor of the famed department store. The 5-7 PM competition will ask entrants to sing one of eight songs selected from various Tony-winning musicals. Judges for the competition will include Spamalot's Christopher Sieber and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee's Lisa Howard and Greg Stuhr.
The winner of the competition will receive lunch, red-carpet worthy fashions, transportation to and tickets for the 2006 Tony Awards. Hotel accommodations will also be provided by the Hilton Family of Hotels.
The 60th Annual Tony Awards will be held June 11 at Radio City Music Hall. CBS-TV will broadcast the event live, from 8-11 PM ET. For more information about the annual telecast visit www.tonyawards.com.
