Mamma Mia! premiered October 18, 2001, at the Winter Garden Theatre, where it played through October 19, 2013. The production then transferred to the Broadhurst on November 2, 2013. The show continued to run for 5,758 performances, playing its final show September 12, 2015.
Louise Pitre, who created the role of Donna Sheridan, earned a Tony nomination for her performance. The show itself received five Tony nominations.
