On the Twentieth Century, which features music by Cy Coleman and book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, premiered on Broadway February 19, 1978, under the direction of Harold Prince. The musical (which was revived on Broadway in 2014) won Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical.
Jim Parsons, Katie Holmes, Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, and more visited Peterborough, New Hampshire, to see the town where Thornton Wilder wrote the Pulitzer-winning play.
