The new West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, starring Olivier Award winner Sheridan Smith, Jason Donovan, and newcomer Jac Yarrow, officially opens July 11 at the London Palladium.
Laurence Connor (School of Rock, Miss Saigon) directs the 40th anniversary staging of the musical that began previews June 27. Joseph… is currently slated to play a limited, 11-week summer engagement through September 8.
The cast features Funny Girl star Smith as the Narrator opposite Donovan, a former West End Joseph, as Pharoah, and 21-year-old actor Yarrow, who makes his professional debut in the show’s title role.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter, sets and costumes by Morgan Large, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Gareth Owen.
The musical was also recently announced for a one-night-only New York City concert staging at David Geffen Hall in early 2020. An all-star cast is expected to be announced.
