The married couple is joined by their son, Harry Slattery, in the Pulitzer-winning drama.

Long Island's Bay Street Theatre launches their 2024 season May 28 with the Pulitzer Prize–winning family drama The Subject Was Roses.

Starring Emmy winner Talia Balsam and Emmy nominee John Slattery, as well as their son Harry, The Subject Was Roses takes place in The Bronx in 1946, as a family struggles to reconcile when their son returns from service in World War II. Forced to confront their hidden past and tense present, Frank D. Gilroy's complex drama will run through June 16.

The Subject Was Roses is directed by Tony winner Scott Wittman.
