What happens when John Lithgow, an “excellent baker,” according to Jimmy Fallon, goes on the a celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off? Nothing good, apparently.
The Hillary and Clinton actor dropped by the Tonight Show and ended up discussing his stint on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.
Calling it “a horrifying experience” after he was told to make a Swiss roll, something he had never heard of, Lithgow admits that he forgot to include flour in the bake. Pru, one of the show’s judges called it "not salable in any cake shop." (The special has not yet aired in the U.S.)
The duo also discussed Lithgow’s new play Hillary and Clinton, calling it a “moving and empathetic” show of the power couple.
Lithgow added that wearing short shorts is what helped him get into the role after initially having some hesitation revealing his legs. Now, they’re on the cover of Playbill.
