Jennifer Lopez to Lin-Manuel Miranda: Write a Musical for Me | Playbill

News Jennifer Lopez to Lin-Manuel Miranda: Write a Musical for Me Watch them perform “Love Make the World Go Round,” their duet to benefit the victims of the Orlando mass shooting.

E! Online reports that pop star Jennifer Lopez joked that she wants Hamilton composer Lin-Manuel Miranda to write a Broadway musical expressly for her.

The entertainment website interviewed the two in connection with their song “Love Make the World Go Round,” which was recorded as a benefit. E! quoted multiple Tony Award winner Miranda as saying he hopes to collaborate with Lopez again “under better circumstances.” Lopez reportedly replied, “He's going to write me this amazing thing—it's going to be better than Hamilton. I'm going to star in it. I'm going to win the Tony."

“No pressure,” Miranda responded. “Better than Hamilton, no pressure. Seven years of my life!”

“You can take your time,” Lopez playfully reassured him. “It'll be fine. I'll be here.”

Miranda and Lopez appeared together on the July 12 broadcast of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, singing a duet of “Love Make the World Go Round.” The single was created to honor victims of last month’s Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, FL. “Love Make the World Go Round” is available on iTunes for download, and all proceeds benefit the Hispanic Federation’s Proyecto Somos Orlando fund.
