Broadway News It’s 2019 Kids’ Night on Broadway February 26 The Cher Show, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Lion King, and more are participating in the annual event.

The 2019 Kids’ Night on Broadway, the annual Broadway League event where kids 18 and under can attend a Broadway show free of charge when accompanied by a full-paying adult, takes place February 26.

Participating shows include Aladdin, Anastasia, The Band’s Visit, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Cher Show, Chicago, Come From Away, Frozen, King Kong, Kinky Boots, Kiss Me, Kate, The Lion King, Mean Girls, My Fair Lady, The Phantom of the Opera, The Prom, To Kill A Mockingbird, Waitress, and Wicked.

A Kids’ Night on Broadway ticket also includes incentives such as restaurant discounts and parking discounts. Select shows will offer in-theatre activities for kids, including talkbacks and activity books.

Participating restaurants include Basera Indian Bistro, Cafe Un Deux Trois, Casa Nonna, Glass House Tavern, Planet Hollywood, Le Rivage, Playwright Celtic Pub, Playwright Tavern (W. 49th St.), Schnipper's, Sen Sakana, Southern Hospitality BBQ, Toloache, Tonys Di Napoli, Utsav, Virgil's Real BBQ, and Five Napkin Burger.

This year, the festivities also include a Pop-Up Photo Booth Experience in Times Square (43rd-44th Street Broadway Plaza, between 7th Avenue and Broadway) from 4 PM to 6:30 PM. Free and open to the public, the heated photo booth will welcome theatre fans and families to take pictures in Times Square before heading to their evening performances. Cast members from The Cher Show, Come From Away, King Kong, and The Phantom of the Opera will hand out complimentary hot chocolate to the first 500 fans who stop by and present their Kids’ Night on Broadway show tickets. Joey McIntyre, currently starring as Dr. Pomatter in Waitress, will host the event, and Caitlin Kinnunen and Isabelle McCalla, both starring in The Prom, will cover as social media correspondents.

Kids’ Night on Broadway will also take place throughout the country, with different shows and venues putting their own spin on the event on several dates throughout the year.
