Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) and Johnny Flynn (Lovesick, Hangmen) star in the West End premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Sam Shepard’s True West.
The cast is completed by by Madeleine Potter as Mom and Donald Sage Mackay as Saul Kimmer.
True West will play a limited season at the Vaudeville Theatre beginning November 23 prior to an official opening December 4, marking the first U.K. production of Shepard’s work since his death last summer. Performances will continue through February 16, 2019.
Olivier nominee Matthew Dunster (Hangmen, Love And Money) directs the play, which pits brother against brother as a family tears itself apart, exposing the cracks in the American Dream.
The creative team includes set and costume design by Jon Bausor, lighting design by Joshua Carr, and sound design by Ian Dickinson. As well as playing the role of Lee, Johnny Flynn will also compose original music for the production.
